Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southern New England
National Weather Service Taunton MA
321 PM EDT Thu Oct 19 2017

.DISCUSSION...
A dry cold front will cross southern New England tonight,
resulting in winds shifting to the northwest. During Friday,
these northwest winds will gust around 20 miles per hour, up to
25 miles per hour. The winds will combine with warmer than normal
temperatures in the 60s and low 70s, and a dry airmass, to yield
minimum relative humidity values of 30 to 40 percent. This will
lead to an elevated fire weather potential during the day time
Friday.

Another high pressure builds in behind that cold front with
continued dry conditions.

The minimum relative humidity will generally range from 30 to
40 percent during Friday, and 25 to 35 percent on Saturday.
Higher minimum relative humidity is expected along Cape Cod and
the Islands.

OUTLOOK...Sunday through Thursday...

High pressure brings an extended period of dry conditions lasting
into Monday night. Becoming increasingly likely for a period of
wet weather towards the middle of next week.
